Day 17: ザンビアビール Zambian beer
‘MOSI’ is the famous Zambian lager, which named after ‘Mosi oa Tunya’ (Victoria Falls). But, I prefer to drinking South African ‘CASTLE Lite’ which reduced alcohol and carbohydrates than standard CASTLE lagers according to the bottle label.
Both are 4% alcohol by volume and smooth to drink!

例年よりは涼しい夏だったそうですが、気候にあった軽いビールが美味しく感じます。
ザンビアでは、現地語でビクトリアフォールズを意味するMosi oa TunyaからとったMOSIビールが有名ですが、わたしは南アのCASTLE LITEが好きです。
Day15: ザンビア版Uber (Uber app launched in Zambia)
本日12/31は仕事納めでした。
Today, 31st of December is the last working day in 2018 and we have only one day holiday for new year. We will have to start working from 2nd of Janunary...
By the way, today, I want to share 3 topics that I found in Lusaka to you.
（１）職場（国立科学センター）の食堂ランチが激安でおいしい。
昨年からちょっと値あがったが、それでも日本人価格で130KW /月、ザンビア人価格で80KW /月！！！（一桁増やすと日本円になります）
食堂で週5−6回現地食（シマ＆しょっぱい味付け）を食べていたからか、乾燥＆紫外線のせいなのか唇が荒れに荒れた・・・。仕方なく、皮むくのが面倒くさいから好きじゃないフルーツ各種や、リップバームを購入。
You can eat delicious local food 'Nshima' at lunchtime at my office with only KW130 (≒USD13) per month! I have realy loved it since I were in Mozambique as JICA volunteer. East africa has also similar food 'Ugali', but Nshima is more fluffy and tasty.←ケニアやウガンダの人はウガリの方が美味しいと言うので単に慣れの問題かもしれませんが笑
（２）車
そして赴任時最大の悩みであった運転については、ザンビア版Uberが快適で車なしでも生きていけそうな気がしてきた。

（３）iStore
すごい！ルサカにiStoreがあるなんて！修理に出して直るかは不明だが、周辺機器は手に入る。一緒に視察したマックユーザーには、これで盗まれても大丈夫とか言われたけれど・・・いや高いから（苦笑）

どの国も首都はどんどん発展していきますね、その分格差が広がり犯罪が増えてしまっているのですが、力強い青い空は9年前と変わらず、前向きに心穏やかにさせてくれます。
こちらの年始休暇は元旦のみで、ドライバーは教会に行くとのこと。良いお年を。
The gap btwn rich and poor is growing wider and wider, which is increasing the number of crimes. However, the blue sky and the shining sun are always attlackted to me.

レベル3：子どもに数学的知識・解き方を理解する/考える機会を与え、彼らの学習をサポートできる教師。
→こどもたちは自ら学ぶようになる！
◆ 3 levels of teaching (Sugiyama, 2008) (Translated by A. Takahashi, 2011)
Level 1. The teacher can tell students important basic ideas of math such as facts, concepts and procedures.
→They are NOT called professional teachers in Japan.
Level 2. The teacher can explain the meanings and reasons of the important basic ideas of math in order for students to understand them.
Level 3. The teacher can provide students with opportunities to understand these basic ideas, and suppot their learning so that students become independent leaners!
ザンビアってなーんだ？
これからお世話になるザンビアについて。モザンビークと同じ南部アフリカに位置するお隣の国。
8年前、モザンビークから遊びに行ったザンビアはすごく都会で、しゃぶしゃぶやSubwayがあることに興奮したことを今でも覚えています（笑）←どちらも今はなくなってしまった・・・涙
外務省HPから基本情報の比較してみると、やっぱりザンビアは発展しているようです。

宗教：8割近くはキリスト教，その他 イスラム教，ヒンドゥー教，伝統宗教
主要産業：鉱業（銅，コバルト等），農業（トウモロコシ，砂糖，タバコ，綿花，オリーブ油），観光
一人当たりGNI：1,360米ドル （え？キルギスより多いじゃん！）
貿易：（1）輸出 65.0億ドル（2）輸入 65.3億米ドル
在留邦人数：281人 （多いなぁ・・・）

主要産業：製造業、IT産業、エネルギー産業

学生時代はまったく興味がなかった地理も、住んでみると実感できるので面白いですね。
